Personal Injury Q&A
What is Personal Injury?
Personal injury means physical injuries caused to you by another party's negligence.
Understanding the True Cause of a Personal Injury
- Motor vehicle accidents: car accidents, truck crashes, motorcycle accidents, recreational vehicle accidents.
- Aviation accidents: plane crashes, helicopter accidents.
- Premises liability: slip-and-falls, dog bites, improper lighting, negligent security.
What Injuries do personal injuries cover?
At PTSMC we treat many injuries caused by personal injury, this includes but not limited to:
Neck and LB pain/strains/herniated discs
Fractures
Post-surgical
Sciatica
Vertigo
Headaches
Fibromyalgia
How is Personal Injury treated?
During your initial appointment, your therapist does a thorough physical exam. Based on your injury they evaluate your strength, range of motion, muscle performance, endurance, balance, coordination, and posture.
Your therapist works with you to identify your goals and develop a customized physical therapy treatment plan. They teach you about your underlying condition, develop an exercise routine to follow at home, and provide one-on-one therapy.
The team constantly monitors your progress. With regular assessments, your therapist can determine if your physical therapy program needs modification.
